A Compact Solution

Rexroth’s pneumatic LS04 valve terminal system has an integrated I/O link interface.
Rexroth offers easier commissioning and maintenance as well as expanded diagnostic possibilities with the introduction of the I/O link interface in pneumatics. To support the new, open communication standards, the proven LS04 valve manifold allows you to incorporate actuators into the I/O link system.

A trend-setting solution: The LS04 valve terminal system with I/O link interface can be quickly and easily integrated into the overall control concept to allow the edition of pneumatic actuators. With the I/O link interface in Rexroth components, it is possible to communicate process, diagnostic, and parameterisation data directly at the lowest field level, right up to the last meter, and to use the intelligence available there directly and easily. The integrated, open IO-interface standard enables you to control Rexroth components such as actuators, as well as sensor technology from numerous other manufacturers.

Thanks to the cyclical transmission of process data within 2 milliseconds and the possibility for reliable error detection and localisation, the I/O link connection increases productivity and reduces machine downtimes.

The new LS04 valve terminal system with integrated I/O link interface is easily incorporated into existing, decentralised automation architecture. Full compatibility with standard I/Os enables mixed operation and simple retrofitting in already installed machines. Systems that already have an I/O link network installed do not require a second line to control the valve terminal system. The valve terminal system can be integrated into the existing bus system via the I/O link.

The LS04 valve terminal system with integrated I/O link interface is especially suited for small handling applications with high speed requirements and optimised installation space. With its compact dimensions and high performance density at flow rates up to 320 l/min, the LS04 is used precisely where there is limited installation space available. The new version of the valve terminal system with integrated I/O link interface can control up to 32 coils on 24 valve positions.
