In the past, handling system projects have usually required a great deal of effort, from system design through to start-up. Not any more: Preconfigured Cartesian Motion Systems (CMS) from Rexroth simplify the whole process.

This one, two or three-axis motion system offers you a tailor-made, plug-and-play solution for trouble-free automation of your handling tasks. Simply use our CMS selection system to put together the system that best meets your needs, and we will deliver your personalized CMS system pre-assembled and preconfigured.

Speeds of up to 1.0 m/s and acceleration rates of up to 15 m/s2 make for high efficiency and productivity. Positioning accuracies of up to 0.01 mm and repeatability of up to 0.005 mm per axis guarantee high precision. Payloads of up to 25 kg and strokes of 1000, 700 and 800 mm in the X, Y and Y axes of the largest CMS axis lengths cater for many different applications – both in transfer stations and in assembly cells.

High quality, perfectly matched components ensure long system life. The CMS can be used in relatively harsh production environments as well as in dust-sensitive applications, such as electronic component assembly.

Our CMS also offers outstanding maintenance benefits. One-point lubrication, provided on both sides of the ball rail systems and on the ball screw drive, reduces the maintenance requirement to an absolute minimum.

The CMS can be integrated quickly and easily into a wide variety of automation concepts anywhere around the world, thanks to Rexroth drive controllers equipped with SERCOS, Profibus DP, CANopen or DeviceNet interfaces.
